The essence of ninjutsu is not only to persevere and
survive, but also to thrive by living life to its fullest potential.
Accomplishing this requires dedication to universal principles of justice
and understanding of the nature of all the elements in the world in which
we live. The warrior must strive to eliminate preconceived notions, assumptions,
and behavioral programming and instead view and accept things for what
they truly are. Ego serves no purpose for the ninja and tolerance is
paramount. Unfortunately, not all people share this view and invariably try to
exert their wills on others. This is done through political and philosophical
manipulations as well as through physical force. The ninja, therefore, serves
as the balance to protect themselves and others from these influences and acts
of intrusion.
